Repossession laws in Connecticut are very similar to most states and creditors will be required to file the appropriate relief from stay in order to continue with collection efforts. Connecticut requires that creditors file a motion for relief based on a just cause with evidence in the form of a pay log or other ledger disclosing missed payments.
Forms

Debtors can find the required forms, ranging from applications to pretrial orders. Meetings
There are several meeting that are held that relate to the bankruptcy case. There are 341 meetings to give a chance for the trustee and creditors to ask the debtor questions about their financial situation. The trustee will ask the creditor how they plan to make the plan payments and how they are going to improve their financial situation; 341 meetings in Connecticut are generally held 20 to 40 days after the fining of the bankruptcy petition. Creditors are given 60 days after the meeting to file any objections to discharge.
Fees
There are many fees that are associated with bankruptcy. The courts in Connecticut charge $299 for the filing of a Chapter 7 and $274 for the filing of a Chapter 13. All checks for fees will need to be made payable to U.S. District Court. These fees are in addition to attorney's fees.
